| Aesthetic Landscape Services (A·L·S) of Columbus was awarded the prestigious 2001 Environmental Award from MALTA (Metro Atlanta Landscape & Turf Association). The award was granted in recognition of their contribution to the improvement of the environment and continued beautification of the community. Special recognition was provided to A·L·S as the recipient of the Grand Award for a residential landscape installation in the $25,000 to $100,000 for the Lanier residence in Auburn, AL. The landscape design was created by Jolly Roberts, Landscape Architect in Auburn, AL. The project features a naturalistically-styled stone poolscape and planting, sited to save trees, and terraced to link the front and back of the property and provide an overview of the lake below. Bob Wisor and John Lindsey of A·L·S implemented the project, which included stone paving, retaining walls, waterfall, and steps incorporating natural boulders, and extensive plantings, completed in 3 months. A·L·S is a full service landscape design, implementation, and maintenance company that has been serving the greater Columbus area continuously since 1979. Gunite pool construction was by Forbus Concrete Products of Dadeville, AL Custom wrought iron fence was fabricated and installed by Don Wallace of Hamilton, GA. |
